Realtime
The overriding principle of the Rockitt platform is to aggregate a client’s information sources as efficiently as possible, and to get their content onto the platform in a timeframe as close to realtime as technologically possible.
We achieve this by plugging into data sources and mining those data sources to create a landscape of the information the client is interested in and delivering via a schedule of escalation, on a per-user basis. This will dictate what grade of alert is triggered when particular terms are detected.
Realtime information allows the client to become the marshall of their own information, without having to sift through each mention or tidbit of information by hand. The schedule of escalation allows an automated system to react to arbitrary information unattended, making monitoring more effective and efficient, resulting in a higher service level delivered to the client through improved awareness and increased responsiveness.
There was a time when realtime was expensive, and when the links required to deliver alerts was not reliable or robust enough to ensure reliable, effective delivery. No longer is this the case. The question is no longer “why realtime?” but, increasingly, “why delay?”. If information can be obtained in real time, the client can then be in control of how they react to that information.
